Children's Museum of Manhattan

The mission of the Children's Museum of Manhattan is to inspire children and families to learn about themselves and our culturally diverse world through a unique environment of interactive exhibitions and programs.
Last year, CMOM served more than 350,000 people, which included 65,000 children who visited the Museum as part of a school group or through one of the Museum’s off-site partners. CMOM is committed to making its exhibits and programs available to all, and with nearly 50 sites around New York City, we continually reach thousands of families who might not otherwise be able to benefit from our services.

Tenement Museum - New York

A New York City Museum that tells the stories of immigrants who lived in 97 Orchard Street, a tenement built in 1863 on Manhattan's Lower East Side.

Intrepid Museum Reopens - New York

The new Intrepid Museum is a unique journey through spectacular interactive exhibits and virtual, multi-sensory technology. Located at the new, park-like Pier 86, the complex boasts 30 restored aircraft, former USS Growler submarine and Concorde. The Intrepid Museum is a dynamic adventure for visitors of all ages and offers group packages, member benefits, birthday parties, special event packages and educational programs. At 12th Avenue and 46th Street, Intrepid is easy to get to by mass transit, car or water taxi.

American Folk Art Museum - New York

Interesting volunteer and internship possibilities exist at both the American Folk Art Museum location at 45 West 53rd Street and at the administrative offices at 49 East 52nd Street. There are many exciting opportunities to work with the public or behind the scenes. We are looking for people whose time and talents meet the needs of the museum and who are able to make a regular weekly commitment. The amount of time required each week varies with the particular job assignment.

New York Jets

The New York Jets are a professional American football team based in the New York metropolitan area. They are members of the Eastern Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League. The team plays their home games in East Rutherford, New Jersey at Giants Stadium, which is named after another NFL team that plays there, the New York Giants.
The team began in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League under the name New York Titans. It was renamed after Sonny Werblin bought the team in 1963. The Jets later joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL Merger.
The Jets hold the distinction of being the first AFL team to defeat an NFL club in an AFL-NFL World Championship Game when they defeated the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III.

New York Yankees

The New York Yankees are a professional baseball team based in the borough of the Bronx, in New York City. The Yankees are a member of the Eastern Division of Major League Baseball's American League. One of the American League's eight charter franchises, the club was founded in Baltimore in 1901 as the Baltimore Orioles, moved to New York City in 1903, then becoming known as the New York Highlanders as well as the New York Yankees, and becoming solely known as the "Yankees" in 1913. From 1923 to the present, the Yankees permanent home has been Yankee Stadium. In 2009, they are scheduled to move into a new stadium, also to be called "Yankee Stadium".

New York Giants

The New York Giants are a professional American football team based in East Rutherford, New Jersey. They are currently members of the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference in the National Football League . The Giants were one of five teams that joined the NFL in 1925, but the only one admitted that year which still exists. The Giants have won a total of seven NFL titles: four in the pre–Super Bowl era, and three since the advent of the Super Bowl . During their history, the Giants have featured 15 Hall of Fame players, including NFL Most Valuable Player award winners Mel Hein, Frank Gifford, Charlie Conerly, Y. A. Tittle, and Lawrence Taylor. The team has gained several nicknames, including "Big Blue," the "G-Men," the "Big Blue Wrecking Crew," and the "Jints," a name seen frequently in the New York Post, originating from the baseball team when they were based in New York.
